Coming up with UFC Event Names - The Formula
I was reading Top 10 Lamest UFC Event Names and realized these names are truly ridiculous and with UFC 112 “Invincible” coming up this Saturday, they are not getting any better.

The more I looked at them, the more I realized the team at UFC coming up these names must follow a simple 3 step formula:
1) If the main event fighters have solid records (i.e. Penn, Edgar, Silva), realize that they are hard to beat. Then think of the word unbeatable - want a “better” word so type ‘unbeatable’ into Microsoft Word and select synonyms - choose the first word on the list.

2. Alternatively, Go to the Action genre on IMDB and pick one of the most poorly rated 90s movies at random, such as “High Voltage” featuring famed reality tv star Antonio Sabato Jr. of ‘My Antonio’ (note this was an amazing show on VH1 in 2009).

Expect to see an upcoming event titled UFC 113 Machida vs. Shogun “The Final Sacrifice”.

3. If all else fails, put the word “Ultimate” in front of any string of words - particularly easy to pick a movie title at random (see UFC 26):

In Costner’s defense, there is something about the way he is striking that pose that suggests he might have strong stand up.
So there it is, the formula for creating a great UFC Event name. Based on this formula, I am predicting UFC’s entry into the Asian market with UFC 120: Tokyo Drift. You heard it here first. (note the first comment: “This song makes me wanna go drift RIGHT NOW”)
